TTE – JR2 Primary Clutch Sheeve Kit

The TTE JR2 Primary Clutch Sheeve Kit is designed to replace worn or damaged sheeves in the original CMI billet primary clutch that came standard on many JR2 race cars.

Over time, the original CMI clutch sheeves develop deep grooves in the clutch faces from belt wear. Once the faces become grooved, the clutch can no longer maintain proper belt contact. In severe cases, the wear becomes so extreme that it can expose the holes from the steel hub on the back side of the sheeve.

Worn clutch faces are extremely hard on drive belts, causing accelerated belt wear, inconsistent clutch performance, and reduced efficiency on the track.

The TTE replacement sheeves are a direct bolt-in replacement for the original CMI billet clutch, restoring smooth clutch faces and proper belt engagement.

Each sheeve is precision machined in-house from high-quality 6061 aluminum, ensuring durability, consistency, and optimal belt contact. Every kit is manufactured right here in the USA under our roof, maintaining the quality and attention to detail racers expect from TTE.

Through extensive testing with our in-house driver Brody Thomas, we’ve seen major improvements in clutch performance, belt life, and consistency compared to worn factory sheeves.

Limited Production Runs

Because these parts are machined in-house, we only produce them in small batches of 15 kits at a time to maintain strict quality control.

Once a batch sells out, we will reopen the preorder list and stack orders before running the next production batch.

If you want a set, make sure to get on the list before the current run is gone.

This kit includes ONLY the two sheeves for the primary clutch:

You will reuse the components from your original CMI drive clutch, including:

• Top Plate

• Hub

• Spider Assembly

• Roller Bearings

• Roller Bushings

• Flyweights

This kit is strictly the Moveable Sheave and Stationary Sheave Assembly.
