TTE – JR2 Complete Primary Clutch Kit
The TTE JR2 Complete Primary Clutch Kit is a direct replacement clutch system built specifically for JR2 Trophy Kart racing. Designed for racers without an original CMI clutch, this kit provides a complete, ready-to-run primary clutch assembly.
Engineered to fit Honda GX390 / Predator 420cc engines with a 1" crankshaft, this system is optimized for 7/8" drive belt setups, matching the standard JR2 configuration.
Many JR2 karts were originally equipped with CMI billet primary clutches, but as those components wear out, replacement parts have become increasingly difficult to source. This kit eliminates that issue by delivering a complete, high-quality replacement built to match original geometry and performance.
At the core of the system are our TTE Primary Clutch Sheeves, precision-machined in-house from 6061 aluminum. These sheeves restore smooth clutch faces and proper belt contact—critical for reducing belt wear and maintaining consistent performance. Worn or grooved clutch faces can quickly destroy belts and create erratic clutch behavior; this system corrects those issues.
Every component in this kit is selected for durability, smooth operation, and race-day consistency.
Like all TTE products, this kit is manufactured and assembled in the USA under our roof to ensure the quality and precision racers expect.
