7075 Aluminum Uniball Weld Slugs – Flush-Mount Precision Series
Our 7075 Aluminum Uniball Weld Slugs are engineered for precision alignment, quick setup, and professional-grade fabrication accuracy.
Machined in-house at TTE using USA-sourced materials, these slugs deliver the same precision as traditional brass designs — but are lighter, more affordable, and smarter in every way.
Key Features
-
No Shimming Required
Each slug features a precision flush-mount step that allows it to sit perfectly even with the outer edges of the uniball cup. This eliminates the need to shim your jig or fixture to reach the slug face — saving time and ensuring perfect alignment during welding or setup. -
½" Through-Hole (No Threads)
A clean 0.500" precision bore allows easy bolt-up, pin alignment, or slide-hammer use. No threads to strip, no specialty tools required. -
Aerospace-Grade 7075-T6 Aluminum
Made from high-strength, USA-sourced aluminum alloy with excellent rigidity, machinability, and corrosion resistance — ideal for repeated fixture use and long-term durability. -
Cost-Effective Alternative to Brass
Delivers the same precision and surface accuracy as brass slugs and far lighter. Lower material and machining costs make this a more practical, high-performance choice. -
CNC Machined In-House at TTE (USA)
Each part is machined in-house at TTE using domestic 7075-T6 aluminum, ensuring consistent quality, fit, and finish across every size. -
Lightweight, Reusable, and Corrosion Resistant
Aluminum construction prevents rust, galling, and oxidation, making these slugs reliable and easy to handle for long-term use. -
⚠️ Heat-Treating Notice:
These aluminum slugs are designed for fixturing and setup only. Not recommended to remain in place during post-weld heat treating, as aluminum will lose temper and deform under high temperatures. Always remove before heat treat.
